"Smoke" was recorded while in isolation due to the intense smoke produced by the massive forest fires that ravaged Oregon throughout mid September. It was such an overwhelming experience of dread that I could not help myself and had to make my own soundtrack to this horrendous gloom. As I recorded my oscillators I stared out the window at the barely visible sun. I took a photo of this smoldering sun in which is seen here as the artwork. This recording is the manifestation of a profound and all encompassing sensory experience that assaulted my lungs and especially my sanity. While drones blasted out of my speakers my mind kept exclaiming: “Damn you Smoke! Damn you to HELL!!!!!”……. but of course the sky did not laugh back at me.
